I just ran into this glitch. I was just drawing circles and rectangles (nothing special) when I wanted to show the Layers panel and it just does not showing up. Regardless how I select it from the Panels menu, it is MIA. Something has happened, however, because in the video you can see that when I select the Layers panel, the beachball cursor shows up. That's not good.

@Boldline has pointed out (thanks @Boldline) that I can attach a saved file with the "Store Activity Info" enabled, which may help in debugging. Well, I didn't have that option enabled, and I only enabled it before saving the document, so I'm not sure if it was saved along with it or not. Nevertheless, I'm attaching the doc here.

Video - ok so upon looking at the video, the beachball cursor is not recorded apparently, but trust me when I say that when you select the Layers panel from the Panels menu and you move the mouse, the beachball is alive and well (for about 2 seconds).

@pentool I added this to the backlog, but I could not replicate it at the first try.

Try detaching the panels and closing them all, and then try again opening the Layers panel.
Also, there is the Reset Panels in the VectorStyler menu to clear panel state.

Do you have a dual monitor setup?

My signature shows my setup. I only use a MacBook. No monitors.

Yes, I think something really bad happened in the back side of things. I had an insane amount of duplicated panels started to show up in the side.

Now, if you look at my original video in this bug report (in the first post) and look at my panel layout, that's how it started out. Then you suggested to close them all. As I started to close them, more and more of them started to show up. And at that point I started to record the screen... this is how it looked like...

@pentool said in Layers panel doesn't show up:

Clearly there is some bug here.
If these panel duplicates show up again, exit and send the workspace.xml file to me.
This file contains the panel arrangements.

One thing that might help is to restore the workspace with the VectorStyler -> Workspace -> Restore Default command

@VectorStyler I did send you the workspace and settings files, too. It was shortly before this happened. Maybe that would help, too.
