This one seems to be a bug so I post it here.

When you create a blend between two objects, then you assign a path to the blend and you try to drag it, the blend will quickly run away.

      1. Create an object and duplicate it.
      2. Select the 2 objects, open the Blend Panel and click the first icon on the left in the panel (Create a new blend effect between the selected objects)
      3. Use the Pen or Pencil tool to draw a squiggly path
      4. Select the path and the blend object and click the 6th icon from the left in the Blend Panel (Select a path from the selection to align blend objects along)
      5. Move the pointer over the created object and drag it (slowly, because it will run away quickly!)

@pentool Can be replicated here also, will be fixed ASAP.
As a workaround, deselect all after assigning the blend path and then select the blend object again.
What happens here is that the blended objects are selected twice (bug)
