This is a cool feature in Affinity products, along with a circular magnifying glass to pinpoint the colour. I use dual screens so can have my source images on a different screen and pick colours at will. Would be a great addition to VS.

@Baz101 Yes, this has been requested some time ago. I will try to find a solution.
The problem is that sampling the screen outside of the VectorStyler window requires some form of user notification and acceptance (screen recording), which is a bit problematic

Affinity can only export in .afpalette format. Useless outside Affinity. Very useful in VerctorStyler, although the users have to allow access to screen recording.

I realise that many VS users will be on a Mac, but if you are a Windows user, it may be beneficial to install 'Microsoft PowerToys' which enables quite a few utilities to extend the windows experience for productivity. The color picker utility works briliantly, and allows you to pick colours from any source. I also find the file explorer add-ons indispensible (svg previews) as well as some quick batch renaming and resizing. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it may be useful to some Link to the documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/

MS PowerToys is a must for all Windows users. You can enable/disable whichever tools you need or don't need and all is highly customizeable. It is easy to use, imo.

On macOS the only workaround is picking the color with the build in color picker and paste the color code using command+v

Other apps on macOS, as the free version of ColorSlurp are working too for picking the color and paste the color code using command+v.
