      Please try to export the following file into a PDF:

      The artboard becomes bigger when viewed in PDF viewing software or web browsers.

          @gotanidea I tested this. When exporting to PDF, the "Current Canvas" mode is selected.
          This means that all artboards of the current canvas are exported into a single PDF page, and the size of this page will be the canvas size.

          The canvas size for this document was set to 16383.0 pt

          What I can change is that the default export option to be "Current Artboard" to void confusion.
