        @monsterfox That option refers to the default fill on the open paths created with the Pen and Pencil tool.

        If you assign a fill to an existing open path, or open up a path then it will be filled

          @VectorStyler I understand what you're referring to—this feature was added at my request. In the video example, my document settings did not have the 'Fill Open Paths' option enabled. The video shows two combined shapes with fills: when a gap is opened in one shape, the fill effect remains visible. However, an independent open circle does not display any fill.

            @monsterfox Now I get it. What happens here is that if a shape has closed parts (as in this case one circle remains closed), then the fill will be applied to the open part also.
