Improve Resolution/Image Quality and allow User Customization of Tool "Cursor" Icons

  • I think VectorStyler needs significant improvement in the visual appearance of the Tool “Cursor” Icons/indicators.

    Currently they are too small, which is probably, at least in part, why they have a fuzzy/blurry/faded raster-like appearance.

    The cursor icons are so difficult to see and distinguish that they have diminished value. Plus they can be an eye strain and really don't match the otherwise excellent quality of VectorStyler.

    The problem pretty much applies to all of the icon cursors. Some examples include, Pointer Tool, Alt/Opt Click and Drag to Duplicate an Object icon, the Parametric shapes “crosshair” (+) and shape icons cursors (Rectangle, Ellipse, etc.), the Corner editor cursor, Pattern cursor Icon, Blend (arrow and three-shape icon cursors), Pan (hand) icon cursor, Zoom (Magnifier) icon cursor, …just to name a few.
    .

    Three suggested Improvements for the Cursor Icons:

    • Increase the Default Size and resolution
    • Allow the user to set a Custom Size value or choose a value form a drop-down list in Preferences
    • Allow the User to insert/substitute Custom icons from created/imported files or glyphs (similar to how you can currently customize Application Icons in VectorStyler)

    @Vector-Rock Is this issue on Windows or on Mac? Cursor size customization can be done, but customizing cursor images would be problematic (this needs a separate UI).

    @vectoradmin,
    I am currently using Mac.

    Will likely also be using Windows as well.

    @Vector-Rock Cursor quality has been improved in build 1.0.045 and cursor size can be set in Preferences -> User Interface -> Cursor Scaling.
