A bug in the Repeater’s Region that makes the size shorter
-
When the Repeater uses scaling with a fixed tile count and the Region feature, the size becomes shorter.
-
@Li-Xiao I opened a bug on this and will try to fix it for the next build
-
@VectorStyler The bug is fixed, but it looks different from version 1.2.
It seems like "proportional" isn't working?

Can we enhance the Region feature to allow for multiple applications? Currently, it only works once, but I need to apply it 4+ times, particularly for the position adjustments.
-
@Li-Xiao I will fix the proportional issue.
The region feature should work for other uses also.
Can you show me examples that you need? -
@VectorStyler
I need to blend multiple images by applying slight shifts specifically by adjusting the 'movement' parameter under the 'Adjust Position' section of the Region feature. Right now, I can only do this once, but I need to stack these adjustments 4 or more times for the final output. Specifically, for each 'Adjust Position' pass where I tweak the 'movement' parameter, it would be ideal to have an adjustable 'Fade' percentage as well.

-
@Li-Xiao I will add this to the features backlog. It is doable, but I have to think how to have this in the UI

@VectorStyler Proportional issue fixed. Thanks!

I will need a bit more detail on this feature:
- which is the actual repeater feature that this should be in, is it the "Geometry Adjustments"?
- does this mean that for example 4 adjustments take values from 4 different regions?
- some example cases on how would this work

yes

Yes, in most cases they are in different regions, but there are also overlapping parts. For these overlapping areas, it would be best if the effects could stack together, just like they do with many Shape Effects.

It's similar to a morphing effect, much like what's described here (https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Showing-the-conventional-2D-display-subpixels-behind-a-slanted-lenticular-lens-sheet_fig2_341806198). The main difference is that I use laser equipment to engrave the graphics directly onto the material, but the underlying principle is very similar to synthesizing composite images for a lenticular lens sheet.
