Open Recent list is empty or limited to 2–3 documents

In the last one or two builds, I’ve noticed that File → Open Recent is frequently empty or contains only two or three documents. Previously, it consistently displayed a much longer list.
My setting is:
VectorStyler → Settings → Document View → Recent Documents: 32
This setting has remained at 32, but VectorStyler is no longer retaining or displaying that number of recent documents.
Expected behavior: The Open Recent menu retains and displays up to 32 documents.
Current behavior: The menu is either empty or displays only two or three documents.

@Boldline I will open a bug on this. One thing that may cause this is the loading of another workspace

@VectorStyler Ohhh that would make more sense now. Sometimes I reload my workspace to clear up the screen when I've got panels strewn around the screen.

@VectorStyler That sounds like the best solution. Recent documents and the Recent Documents limit should probably remain application-level settings rather than being stored in a workspace.
A workspace should restore interface-related items such as panel positions, panel visibility, toolbars, and window layout. Loading or reloading a workspace should not clear or replace the user’s recent-document history.
This would let users reload a workspace to clean up or restore the interface without unexpectedly losing their Open Recent list.

@Boldline I cannot replicate this issue with workspace swapping. Something might else cause it.

@VectorStyler you're correct. I just tried it on my laptop and the list of previously opened files remains intact. The settings are not necessarily the same on both machines. What would you need from me to send you on the affected computer?
