Pen tool lag

Pen Tool has a significant input delay when rapidly creating consecutive nodes. Instead of CLICK-CLICK-CLICK, nodes appear with a noticeable delay: CLICK…CLICK…CLICK. This occurs even in a completely empty document. CPU usage is only about 7.5% during drawing. Disabling Direct Preview and Hovering Selection and switching CUDA to Software makes no noticeable difference.

@Tilen I tried this both on Mac and Windows, but I cannot observe any delay here (Direct Preview is on).
If you could make a recording of this, it might help.
Also: disabling those should not affect (for better or worse) drawing with the Pen tool.
I assume you use Windows, what config you have? Could be some compatibility issue.

I will make a short screen recording showing the delay while rapidly creating consecutive nodes with the Pen Tool.
My system is Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Intel Core i7-14700K, 64 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti.
I’ll make a recording of the issue when I’m back at my computer and send it here...
