Transparency grid annoying redrew upon zoom
-
This has been bugging me (pardon the pun) since day 1 I bought and installed a copy of VS.
Why the transparency grid redraws itself?
Can it be just one size and only the Artboard to "crop" it around, like in Affinity and Inkscape.
When zooming I can see the checkerboard (grid) also zooms. This is not right.
Very annoying. With all those redraw lines, which sometimes stay but when I zoom a bit in or out again, they disappear. It is clunky, lagging.

@Evaelo This is because the transparency grid is also drawn into the image that is displayed. When zooming this image is briefly displayed larger (or smaller) before it is redrawn.

Can it be just one size, the checkerboard. for example 10×10 px and stay always like that no matter what the zoom level is.
And the artboard to sort of act as a crop window which "reveals" the checkerboard.
Affinity and Inkscape act like that and is super smooth. -

In the recent update 1.3.031 those lines are gone.
The transparency grid redraws ok. Not as smooth as Affinity or PhotoLine or Inkscape but it is workable good. -

This all depends on how fast the screen can refresh.

I do not know if that is the reason. Their transp. checkerboard stays same size during zoom (how it should be, so it is not distracting to the eye).
In VS the skares change size when zoom is at hand. It should not happen as it gives the impression of lagging. Checkerboard should stay as almost like a 'wallpaper' really.
