      I was playing around with the Brush panel and noticed if the stroke on an object was consistent all around -the stretch and offset options acted a little wonky and left the shape with no visible stroke. If I switch to a tapered profile for the brush and stroke, then offset will move the starting point of the tapered stroke around the shape as I assume it should, given the explanation of the tool when I hover over it. I understand, if this is what the purpose of the closed offset (as it's referred to in the history panel, nothing would look different moving around a stroke that does not have any taper - but my guess would be that it should not disappear. Same is true with the brush stretch option.
