I know a while back there was a default setting to move the canvas if the cursor was nearing the edge. I noticed this feature in Affinity and found it useful. Could it be added back in VS as an option?

@Boldline You need to enable 'Automatic Scrolling' in Preferences > Performance.

But it seems auto-scrolling works only when you draw something (closed shapes) — moving, rotating or scaling an object or moving a node doesn't auto-scroll the canvas.

@b77 I'll go back and look at what Affinity does - I think what I liked most was when I was needing to place the next node on a path and that next spot was outside the view on the screen. By clicking nearby and then dragging it, the canvas moved automatically

@Boldline Auto scroll should work (when enabled) when clicking and dragging in an empty area for box selection. But it must be dragged outside of the view.
