@marce @VectorStyler yes, the built in search feature in the documentation section was very helpful in the past.

@marce said in Font Preview Size: @fde101 when making books you work with styles, is true. Not just with books, but with just about any kind of formatted content - newsletters, newspapers, etc. But when working with illustrated books, covers, children activity books, etc, Covers are a different sort of beast, and are more of an illustration project than a publishing project. Agreed that the regular use of styles for a cover is not as relevant as for the body of a publication. On the other hand, I am less inclined to agree that styles lose relevance when making "illustrated books" or "children's activity books" - there is ultimately still a level at which consistency throughout such books is perfectly relevant when creating a cohesive product and while such books are likely to contain a larger number of illustrative works (which individually might fall outside the normal use of styles) there are still elements that tie these things together for which the primary use of styles is still a good idea. font choosing is important. That is true for any kind of project in which text is involved if that project is going to be distributed. Need of design are wide and people works their way. The standardized professional way of work offenly is bypassed by creative people. True, and sometimes that is completely appropriate, other times it is bypassed to the detriment of the outcome or to the time taken to achieve it. Different projects and different situations call for different ways of working and different sets of tools. As I said in my other post: again, that is for a desktop publishing app; for a tool such as VectorStyler, it makes enough sense to offer it separately if people find such a thing useful

@VectorStyler ok, my mistake. It seemed at a glance that that was the lite version. I think it just looked smaller on the site compared to the pdf. thanks!

@VectorStyler I can provide one-it's on my other computer-I'll make a note to upload it. I had problems reproducing this until I remembered that the original graphic was converted from Illustrator. Native VS graphics don't have this problem. Looks like a metadata problem with conversions.

@monsterfox ... Unfortunately, there is no PC version ... Unfortunately, that isnt right; I use the PC version. Paragraphic is, to my knowledge, the only program from Lost Minds that works on the PC too. Your right many things are also possible in VectorStyler, and many are even only possible in VectorStyler. But upon closer inspection, you can see that Paragraphic also has a lot to offer. Just watch a few YouTube videos on their channel. From the program itself, you can also download example files from their website to see how something was built.

@monsterfox said in frequency: @VectorStyler I tried the Interval function. When dragging the slider left and right, the graph moves up and down unstably, which seems to be a bug. I hope it can be fixed. I will try to improve this.

@Subpath But VS seems to have more settings options. I haven't experienced it deeply yet, but it should be able to handle some more complex graphic scenarios.

Paragraphic continues to update quite quickly, and many new features have been added. While there are still some features I miss, like Boolean modes, it's still a nice little tool and a nice addition to VectorStyler. Here's a great overview video on how all the repeaters in Paragraphic work. Repeaters in Paragraphic

@Daniel said in What tools are efficient for drawing curves In one step?: Cubic bezier - Has two points, start and end, and four control handles, 2 each. The so called "pen tool". Not quite. Not quite - each segment of a true Cubic Bézier has two control points, one for each end - you often see two control points at a handle because there is one for each of the segments connected to it; if the curve is not closed then the end points will only have one each since there is only one segment coming from them. Curiously, the pen tools in most drawing apps do present a second control handle when manipulating an end point on an open shape, though some of them (such as Affinity Designer) only show it when you are manipulating the one that belongs there. Mathematically that shouldn't be there, which has me wondering what the apps are actually doing when they present one on that end point.

@VectorStyler I also thought it could be an interesting addition to Vectorstyler . . ... One question: Can you recover editable Bézier paths from these shapes... Sorry, I don't know. But i would think so, because its a vector graphic. But i don't have Moho and the 2D SDF vector graphics app is just under discussion at the Moment. Epthracy is developing MagicaCSG, a 3D app based on SDF modeling. For this he has also developed various 2D vector graphics tools and asked his supporters on Patreon what they think about a release. A large number are in favor, as am I. When I have more information at some point, I will let you know.
