I have a line of live text with two words on the line. I tried to highlight the second word and use command-x to cut it. This did not work. I did find that after highlighting the word I wanted to remove and pressing delete, that did work properly. However, when I then attempt command-v to paste the previously cut portion of the live text, it was not in memory to be pasted at all.
I also tried using command-c to copy the text and then paste it but that also did not work.

I was able to use the mouse to click on the applicable options under the edit>cut/copy/paste

I would expect that command-x should cut a piece of highlighted live text and retain it in memory while removing it from the line of text.
