      Hi all

Here is a easy way how to create interesting patterns,
It's an old trick, but it can still be useful.

      you could:

      • Change the original Letter in a another one

      • Use a different Font, e.g. Script Fonts give nice Patterns

      • Try a Symbol Font

      • Convert the original Letter to Curves
(Menu > Object > Convert to Curves)
select all Nodes and move the Object on the canvas
(we do this because when you move the Original then,
the clones will move as well)

      • and you could find your one Ideas

@Subpath I just had a chance to experiment with your Letter Pattern technique and I appreciate the number of principles you are demonstrating, namely:

        • How to leverage cloning to the best advantage,
        • How editing nodes can be used to alter the base location of cloned shapes, and
        • The power of the Shape Picker Tool to easily swap shapes in a complicated setup.

        Thank you for this tutorial!
