Bounding box around text / objects
-
Is this achievable in VS? I've been trying different methods since yesterday but I can't solve this problem. Often in my projects I have a large list of words which I then send job to my plotter. Adding a box like this makes it easier for me to process later. For a few objects it can quickly be done manually, but not when there are, for example, 200 objects.
The second option is whether it is possible to create such a box for regular objects. I select the objects, set the offset and a box is generated around each object.

There is a Data Source Panel in > Menu > Windows > Styles > Data Sources
which may be helpful. I never work with it, so @VectorStyler should be
more competend with it.Here a Link to Online Help Section

@encart
Adding bounding boxes around text or objects is very simple and convenient, and I have recorded a video for reference.Text

I also recorded variable text for reference.

Thanks for the video about using text variables and also
for the other two videos. It's always interesting to me to see
how others approach a problem. The curious thing about text variables in Repeater is that I
once suggested it for the Repeater.
But as I said in my suggestion, I didn't really need it myself.
However, I thought it would be a good repeater addition. Here the LInk

I often use variable data. Currently, there are some issues and improvements needed with using data sources in the repeater.

@encart No such feature in VS, but can be simulated with "measurement" variables

@Li-Xiao thank you for these videos. I learn so much from each of them

Thanks guys! Next time, instead of asking if a feature is available, I will immediately ask where to look for it.
