VS lags when transforming masked objects

VS lags significantly when moving masked objects. Lesser with textboxes, but the overall performance is reduced in the document.

The system is M4: Haven't noticed it before and wonder if it's a recent bug?

Could be something in settings / workspace causing this.
What happens if you restart VS?

Also the textboxes appear laggy again after screen record

Tried:
Closing all other apps
Settings/Restore Default
Restarting

The textbox' performance is improved (better yet not visible due to screen recording), but the masked objects is heavy in real life.
