@Boldline said in Option to respect existing groups clipped within a shape with deep select tool?: If something is grouped before being clipped inside of another shape, is there a way to respect that grouping when I select on a part of it with the "deep select" transform tool? Not currently. The only way to do this is to use the regular selection mode (first icon) and then double click to isolate into the clipped shape.

@b77 said in Artboard Origin: @Igull Indeed this is a bit "non-standard", but it could be that placing guidelines is something needed more often than moving the artboard origin? Yes, we all require guidelines, but we just drag them from the relevant X or Y ruler surely - that's been the way since Pontius was a pilate - not from the reference point, where you get two at right angles rather than just the one that you required ?? In any case, once you save a document with the origin in the upper left corner and with top-down coords enabled, any new document should have these same settings by default until you change them. And if you wish to quickly change the co-ordinate system mid-stream ? It's just very untidy and not up to the usual high quality VS scratch really. I do realise that many users are simply (???) generators of wonderful artworks and really don't require the accuracy that I need/want, but that's not a reason to let our standards slip LOL Neil

@ChrisP I think for the inch unit, the automatic subdivision should use 1/8 instead of 1/10. I will change this.

@VectorStyler Only speaking for myself, I liked the way I could use right click to change the color of the background color swatch and use the left mouse button to click the foreground color - seemed to work with any palette colors were pulled from. A few months back @encart and maybe a few others wanted a way to consistently make all right clicks define the stroke and all left clicks define the fill, regardless of what was happening in the two square color swatch panel. So I understand their request but I was having a hard time adjusting to that method. Right now for example, in the main loaded palette, it works like I first described (left click sets foreground color) and in the added palette bar, it works the other way (left click defines fill color) - this is where it gets confusing because I have to remember to use it differently based on where I grab a color from. @Boldline said in Default palette seems to be missing reg black and "no color" swatches: If I open up the default "color palette" it is showing correctly. Maybe I had something else opening as "palette" that was missing those options The "Palette" mode shows the current document palette, not the default palette. You have to create a new document with a Default RGB/CMYK palette to show the actual default.

@Subpath I think this depends what is inside a pattern. For a regular boxed pattern, there are also options to flip every other tile, that might help in creating seamless patterns.
