@b77 lol I'm not opposed to your idea, I'm just asking questions on how it could be done. There are a lot of angles to this to consider; valuable space in the toolbar versus not having too long of a pullout. Users having control over what shape options are available where, etc.. I'm glad you're offering suggestions

I am sure I can speak for more than just myself here, it's awesome to be able to help improve VS with our ideas and testing. @Boldline It's late, but I'd like to point out a find i made in Object Roles. While I was looking for something different. Found it in Object > Object Role > More Roles. There is a Role called "Text on Path Style". The Manual says: "The object's text-on-path settings act like a text-on-path style". It's unclear to me how that works. I think dialogs should be improved as part of an overall update and an overall improved UI concept. And it needs to be done thoroughly and patiently. Because it's not easy. But you usually get the overview and the good ideas easier when you see the whole thing in a big perspective. We must be careful not to get improvements dripped into an old UI architecture, or to improve an architecture with patchwork solutions when a brand new one might be better in a major upgrade of VS. For example, I think the "new document" dialog needs to be rethought. The really big task (besides following UI standards in big and small ways) is to find an elegant way to separate commonly used and very advanced features. That's also the task Inkscape has started on. VS is an exceptionally powerful and versatile tool, but in several places the advanced features obfuscate the very most used features that most customers will buy the program to use, so it's worth all the time and effort to find the best balance UI wise.

@VectorStyler Yes, i'm using that. If a panel is scrollable Blender is using CTRL+ mouse scroll , otherwise it's just a scroll.

@encart Popups always get in the way. It's better to focus eyes on the view while just moving the mouse and selecting the effect. Otherwise you have to popup select hide, popup select hide. If you have a whole day to do so;) For example the Shape Effects/Filters panel can have upper tabs for categories (if they exist), tabs on the left, it may be icons. Vectorstyler has so many options that a search box is a must in my opinion for such panel (no need to remember where the effect is in the list). Preview on hover or on click. DaVinci Resolve Effects Panel no way you can do it faster with any popups.

@Torakikiii If the PDF is in CMYK mode and has a die cut shape with a spot color for the stroke (say, one named 'diecut'), it should import correctly and show in the Print dialog or in the RIP as a separate plate. You might need to set the die cut shape's stroke to overprint however. ……………………………………… Also: if I understand correctly, when you receive a 2-page PDF (page = artboard) where the 1st page has the artwork and the 2nd one has the die cut shape, you'd like to have the option for both to be overlapped directly on import on a single artboard?
