@VectorStyler said in Separate Path with Eraser Tool Broken:
@Igull This could be specific to some shape and eraser tool width.
An example file and a recording might help.
It would, but yet again another elusive issue - it's not doing it today with the same file and same size and setup (as always!) brush. It may be some sequence of events that breaks it. I'll be sure to try and remember what happened prior to it breaking. Obviously, a restart seems to fix it
Thanks

What I thought strange under the object with blend effect may be the gradient
I will try to fix the blend / mesh and warp issues.
@Boldline The issue with the background can be solved easily. The problem is that it is not always white, sometimes the canvas has this gray background and that might cause problems.
@VectorStyler with this one I know I used a mouse. I first noticed it when I accidentally slipped the mouse cursor slightly just after right clicking the mouse to change the background swatch. It's not a major deal, it rarely happens but figured it was worth mentioning

@Boldline I use Shift key to constrain the line 45°.
ok that makes sense. Perhaps instead of turning it off by default it could be moved to a new modifier instead? I agree the shift makes more sense with constraining angles - muscle memory
@Pat Yes, this can happen. I will try to improve this.
Some of these self-overlapping cases are a bit difficult.
For example, if a control (tangent) point is rotated too much, it may create some impossible cases.
