@encart said in I do not see any difference between the marked objects , and the others that are placed in this zone: @VectorStyler https://recordit.co/MAJdm3N6cp Selection appear only when I zoom out. There could be a problem here, I added this to the backlog.

@b77 I use it to ensure the minimum separation distance between objects that are being cut on the laser (so that the beam doesn't interfere with local objects). Now that I understand both collision methods, I can use both methods to do this. Depending on materials, I can use collision rotate freely (say a laminate material without any grain - acrylic maybe - where it doesn't matter the rotation of the object) in others that require the grain to be in the direction of the object for strength (wood for instance), then simple collision is ideal. Being able to ensure that the objects cannot break through the boundary would be very useful as you wouldn't have to re-correct the positions. It is also superb for manually nesting parts on a sheet as the collider tool rotates parts neatly (paralleled) into place. You can pay huge sums of $$$ for automatic fast nesting software - doing it mandraulically is generally fine for me BTW, that would also apply to the inside snap where that would be the boundary of the sheet material - ensuring that the parts can't breach the edge of the material itself. @VectorStyler said in PDF editor alternatives to Adobe Acrobat - something that could be added to VS at some point?: So a PDF editor would always be preferable as a separate application. Thanks for the explanation - I am testing out some different ones now.

@Boldline Well, I have already assumed that the storage space might be a problem. Apart from the imagehosters, Recordit could also be used for this maybe unusual, but possible.

@VectorStyler Thanks! I just tried that and it's exactly what I was looking for. There are some times I need to grid to stay exact in relation to the artboard - this answers that.

@Boldline said in Is there an option to limit either the width and/or length of the shape tool?: If it's not already in there, what about an option to set an angle and everything made is set to that angle? This one actually can be done by rotating the view. The rectangle (or oval) drawn will use the view angle.

@Boldline This looks like a bug in the undo/redo part. One workaround could be to just purge all history.

@b77 said in Can live text on a curved path be skewed?: @VectorStyler The font itself is skewed (it imitates handwriting). Boldline wants to straighten it up a bit after placing it on the path. Yes this is what I was intending to communicate Can there be a way to slant/skew live text on a circular path. @VectorStyler you mentioned "When using text on path, the transformations of the text object are ignored." - and that is also the case not only with the circular path but a straight or open-ended path. Is this something worth extending some transformations to? EDIT - just tried the horizontal skew option in the Character panel- that should work fine - thanks! @Boldline said in Is there an easier way to get the angle option to appear on the guideline?: @VectorStyler I zoomed in further on a new project and i was able to grab the angle better this time Zooming in should not be necessary for rotating the guideline. If this occurs again, send me a file with an example.

@VectorStyler said in How to disable that preview?: @plrang said in How to disable that preview?: @VectorStyler Could you tell us is ASAP also in Autumn or maybe you plan an earlier update? Yes, there will be update before. There will be a bug fixes release of 1.1 by the 18th of this month, that should include all reported bugs (unless some major work is needed for some). Also, while 1.2 is being developed, that will be bug fixes releases of 1.1 every 3-4 weeks (slower than the regular 1-2 week cycle). Thank you for clarifying on this. We all know you're focused on the new updates for version 1.2, so I'm glad to know the bug fixes are priority even during this time. It's also nice to know the approximate schedule for the next bug fix build. You've had us spoiled with the weekly updates for so long! I am looking forward to the next build release that squashes more issues and even more excited to see what the major updates in 1.2 will be like in a couple months

@VectorStyler Thank you, I wanted to describe the problem and was trying to create a simple graphics for it in VS, but it won't let me do it. I have to wait for an update.

Could Tab by default instead of Spacebar be a better alternative for this? As long as it can be changed to your own choice in Preferences, it really doesn't matter what the default is. Sure, but easy-to-figure-out defaults matter for beginners, that's what we are discussing in this thread after all (most everybody was a bit surprised that the Spacebar is used for this). Anyway, maybe Tab is not intuitive either. Please ignore.
