@VectorStyler Thank you - I fully understand this. I am thinking that just the path 'line' (like what happens with the Brush Tool, Path Sketch or basically any other tool like Pen, Pencil) would be better (the center of the line drawn) than something that obfuscates what you are doing (especially for the larger brush sizes). Whilst I do not want to compare tools too much with other programs (I do not even have access to AI, but it is used exclusively in the course that I replicate with VS) I can see how some tools work and then find similar features 'almost working' in VS which brings up these points. I truly appreciate your feedback and that you are considering looking into this. Thank you.

@Boldline Will have a look at the manual regarding this. What I miss is a kind of a simple and easy to use User Shape library Panel in VS. Where i could put shapes in and out (drag and drop) without the need of to give them Names or define a Style. Don't get me wrong, found names and styles useful and I appreciate having them. But just a simple library would fit my needs in many cases. Affinitiy Designers "Assets" Panel is an Example. Well, it has no drag and drop, "curios" if you aks me you add a Shape/Asset by select them and choose "add by selection" The Concepts Shape Library works similar to Affinity Designer Asset Panel. @William-Kansepa I think this should be doable with recording an action and then assigning a shortcut to the action.

@William-Kansepa Something like (3) is ready for version 1.2 The main issue: how to select both the artboard and the objects? The way it is for 1.2: the selected artboard size is adjusted to the objects inside (or intersecting) the artboard. I added the others to the backlog.

@William-Kansepa Very happy to hear that I was able to help. I had tested it and it seemed to have what you were hoping for but I wasn't too sure... As for AI, I haven't used it in a long time and I don't remember its features.

@VectorStyler Both scrolling (with the trackpad) and dragging the scrollbar feel about the same — a bit faster than necessary. (Isn't the scrollbar size linked to the list length? If it is, probably making it a bit shorter could help).

I always feel like I need to preface my requests on the forum with "This is probably already in the program but I could not find it by myself," It feels like everything is already implemented or if not, it's already been suggested and added to the queue to be added in a future update.

@Subpath yes. What is great about most vector programs is that there's always multiple ways to accomplish a task. I do a lot of things with clipping masks and the like in VS and love it. My goal with the original post is to see if that level of efficiency found with the fill tool in Affinity Beta can be added to what the shape builder can do in VS - but allowing for a non-destructive result (original shapes are not destroyed in the process), no strokes added by VS in the process and stroke path used to define new shapes is left intact.

@Boldline A new thing that this new AD Fill tool has: it can be fill aware, joins neighboring regions with the same fill
