@Daviator Panels menu -> Color opens the floating color panel. In the floating color panel there is a color picker tool that can be used to pick colors from the drawing.

If you have a big screen, it won't fit into a 13" laptop screen and have to scroll left/right/up/down sometimes to see what people are doing. @pentool I think this could be done, after 1.2 is released. I have to consider what tools are best for public bug tracking and how to integrate with this forum (bugs will be still posted to the forum).
