@Raaskot said in Transform: Up-dwn-keys act strange on stepping values i value fields: Is it supposed to act in that way? No, this looks like a bug, but I cannot replicate it here. Could be caused by some changes in the workspace or settings.

@VectorStyler said in Slow Typing Performance: @gotanidea I'm testing these issues with slow typing performance. The new document has no issue with speed (the old is till slow). What configuration you use for these tests? and which text is edited in the new document. I'm trying to replicate as close as possible. Can you please click the first text box ("Before rigging any character geometry ....") at the top-left region of the new document using the Text Tool, then hold the "a" key? I use: VectorStyler v1.3.001 Windows 11 Home 64-bit AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics (16 CPUs) ~3.2GHz 16384MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU

@VectorStyler Hi, this is on Windows 11 24H2 and the settings are "checked" inside of performance settings such as !"Direct Preview of Changes" or "GPU for Mesh" and "GPUfor Distortion" but don't seem to actually be working. Selecting ok seems to fix "Direct Preview of Changes" but no way to be sure about the GPU settings.

@hbalcic This is not a bug: if the object has a valid fill, then the selection highlight is not shown while moving. The selection frame can be enabled for moving in the transform tool options (opened from context panel first button).

@oleGraf Got the crash reports of VS when running on MacOS High-Sierra. I think there are issues here with Metal (not well supported for Intel GPUs of that version) If you can start with a fresh VS install (and no user data, workspace or settings) and disable Metal use in Settings -> Performance (for this machine use OpenCL or Software mode) this might help.

@encart Can be replicated. This is a bug caused by a movement in Layer 1. I will try to fix this for the next build. As a workaround, create a new Latey (next to Layer 1) and move the content of Layer 1 into the new layer.

@monsterfox said in 4Bugs: After undoing all operations, the newly drawn graphics don't overwrite previous records. Instead, both the new and original records remain, similar to a snapshot function. I wonder if this counts as an error This is not an error. Actually in VS the History is a hierarchy (not a list), meaning that you can go back to alternate histories.

@brentpruitt This can be replicated here also (on Sonoma), but it is not really a bug. The system (ColorSync) contains a few ICC display profiles that all have the same name. It is not clear why Apple added these to Sonoma, it is not in other MacOS versions. The only thing I can do with this is to show the file name instead of the profile name stored in the file, but that can lead to other issues.

@monsterfox said in Bugs: Graphics within a clipping group show offset issues. This one is not a bug. The orange shape (for the Move Inside) is distorted with a Warp effect (small amount). When moving the green lines inside this object, the lines also become distorted, causing a small change on their shape.

@VectorStyler I understand. Perhaps move them to Window/Text then. Makes more sense. [image: 1752134187028-87b601d1-e629-4b23-8721-29801080fe2c-image-resized.png]

@Wolfgang Yes, this seems to be an error, the field has the wrong lower limit. The Transform panel should display the correct scale. This will be fixed in the next build

@Boldline I tested this with a simple example, but could not replicate it. Send me a sample by email, where expanding a clipped group cannot be undone. Might be caused by some specific object attribute.

Okay, I've been keeping an eye on that. It only appears for the last thread in the list of unread posts. To my surprise, it also appears when I open the topics in the list in a new tab. So the last tab with the last topic in the list took a while to load. I don't know exactly. But I'd guess it was 15-20 seconds. All the others loaded instantly. I was using Firefox.

@VectorStyler Ignore previous. After restart of Mac I cannot replicate it either, and it seems to work fine all over. If it appears again I'll let you know.

@monsterfox Yes, it is the same here. I will try to improve this. There are over 400 objects, doing this in smaller sets might be faster.

@Raaskot On mac they should be in: ~/Library/Application Support/VectorStyler1.2/vector/data/resources/ folder But for Mac App Store version, these folders are well hidden by MacOS and different for every user. You can also try the Help -> Reveal Workspace Folder command.
