    There is a workaround that requires using Shape Corner in the Effects panel. However, this only works if all four corners of the rectangle have the same radius. If the corner sizes are inconsistent, Shape Corner doesn't allow for individual corner adjustment, and you have to use the Corner panel instead, which makes this workaround unusable for that scenario. https://youtu.be/akNbqo8wqo8

    @VectorStyler Sure, it was after auto update from within the previous running version. Can't tell if it was the "universal" one. The manual download was Silicon.

    @monsterfox Another workaround: disable "Snap to Shapes". This feature (dragging objects from a collision point) allows for the rotation and collision of objects at that point to another shape. But: I could still not replicate the cursor showing for unselected objects.

The zooming / panning allows to reposition the canvas under the selection already drawn. It is by design, the alternate would be to move/resize the selection area with the zoom. Would that be more useful? I only noticed and mentioned it because I was a bit surprised. But personally I don't really need it. I now know how it works and I act accordingly. So I'll leave it up to you whether you think it makes sense if the selection changes, in that case, with the zoom. I think, at least as far as I've tried it, you can only zoom when using the polygon selection anyway.

    Now it works. I would have never realized by myself. I thought that the conversion to curve was only needed on the object alone, not also on the root layer. I hope to get familiar one day with all these hidden tricks, which make this software so powerful Thank you

    I can confirm that this is fixed. The minised panel icons are now always responsive, and clicking on the ≡ icon on expanded minimised panels no longer crashes the program.
