He offers a free download every Friday of some extra brushes or other digital assets if you sign up for his mailing list. He sends a code to your email and you can click the attached link and go to his site and enter the code to get access. I think a big reason he offers that is to get eyes on a banner there that tells people that anything sold on etsy that claims to be Frankentoon's is actually fraud. so his loyal customers continue to go to his site instead of getting tricked into buying from etsy. The request to fill out a survey was posted on his site near where the digital assets could be downloaded.

@gotanidea said in Vectorstyler made the list of top alternatives to Illustrator: @Boldline I also hope we'll see other products from VectorStyler's creator. Hopefully an alternative to Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Animate Perhaps we can find a way to clone @VectorStyler so he can work on all of these at the same time lol

@Boldline @b77 has already explained it correctly what i meant. Of course, it would be nice if you could specify the number of objects from which no live preview would be displayed. One thing that came to my mind about the delay solution was that with this solution would affect every boolean operation. No matter how many objects are used for it. I also see the possibility to link the delay to the number of objects.

@VectorStyler said in Arc tool?: Maybe we need a tool that can "draw" a shape from the shape presets (or style). I think this would be awesome. @VectorStyler said in Arc tool?: from what I see in AI, these arcs are always set at 90 degree. I'd like to see them be available for 180 degrees as well

@Ingolf Thanks for sharing, I will have to replace my old Mac before the end of the year so any information can be useful.

It was a merely post for reflection on probably the biggest lack of basic understanding I have encountered in my professional life, and encounter every day. In here it is extreme, we are so few, but the problem permeates everything I witness. Software development, running restaurants, politics, journalism, friendships, everything. That's why I'm so happy to work closely with UX specialists who are weekly and constantly in dialogue with the industry and large and constantly new representatives of either customers/users or people who completely reject all or part of the product. I've seen products developed and debated internally that seemed foolproof and functionally ridiculously simple be completely rejected in the world as incomprehensible and unappealing. It had to be completely redone, and with basic input from collaborators and "enemies" it got significantly better. It is just a professionalism with full contact with and in the front line, and where all illusions and projects' bullshit dies. Literally, dies. The most important thing I have to say about this is that it is information you have to "pull out" of the world. Work for, pay for, humbly and patiently. You can't expect dissatisfied users to provide feedback. Certainly not commercial ones. The number one reason to fail in the medium and long term is not to SELL. Number two is NOT to seek knowledge far and wide. Funnily enough, our biggest success UI-wise is that we pulled tons of visual noise and features out of one of our brand new products (compared to similar ones). Nobody gave a rats ass about them. Technical debt of competitors that made their products heavy in maintenance and use, and made them incomprehensible. And it was precisely constant dialogue with stakeholders and potential users (and even near-hostiles) that gave us the liberating knowledge of what features could be omitted. Some comes back on request maybe, but basically we avoided implementing all the competitors' mistakes and features. The things we implemented on request in the first year of the product's life are completely mundane things. We got much, much, much wiser about exactly which workflows are critical and need to be simple, and how much is simply not used and not critical to the product being chosen. Even if you don't understand it yourself, even with years of experience. Well, the point was, in short, remember this image: [image: 1666533942627-5da02cb3-b54e-4523-aeaf-c6a9fce86b25-image-resized.png]

@VectorWhiz Can only agree with the potential of VS. I rarely used a program that offers so many Features and leaves so much room for discovery and experimentation. It is my default vector program since I bought it. Which speaks for itself.

@encart I have begun exploring VS in depth Oct 18 2022, which might result in some quality artwork, like I placed on my website. Much off standard stuff there, but I could do more common art, if so requested. Before I just fiddled about until VS crashed. The latest builds though, seem quite stable now; no crashing, just ran into one or two bugs. I posted a stage sequence of a realistic vector portrait, created entirely in VS in my [portfolio blog] (https://communicats.blogspot.com/2022/10/exploring-vectorstyler.html).
