@Boldline Yes, at this phase it does not yet has any corners. First you must set a nonzero corner radius.

@jfraze When you don't find some feature or command you need, try the Search field under the Help menu (say, 'shortcuts'). If it's included, macOS will point it where it's located in the menus.

@Boldline With two "separate at intersections" commands this corner was also separated. I opened a bug on this one, as one command should be sufficient.

@Boldline Currently the Shift key keeps the line segments at certain angle, and node movement direction cannot be restricted. One way to work around this is to select those nodes, activate the Transform tool and move with that. I will try to change this to allow multiple node movement constrain for shift key, as limiting the segment angle does not make much sense in this case.

@PatrickM Looks like these options work only after the document was created. The Canvas -> Artboard Options command opens the same view. I will fix this ASAP.

@VectorStyler My first reflex was indeed the "delete" key. I should have thought about it and stayed on this problem but as I was trying to reproduce with VS what I did more than 10 years ago with AI, I was already thinking about what other effects I was going to affect, wondering where to find them, etc. I wanted to come back to this problem but the transformation of my blended object crashed VS. On restart, a crash report has been sent (had to be sent). The habit of working with AD where the deletion of such points is also done by the delete key. It would be nice to add this possibility for all curves.

@Boldline I have nothing against the previous color assigning mode being a Prefs setting, even on by default. Regarding any possible confusion from the difference between the way assigning colors work from the color bar compared to the Color panel, I don't have a magical solution that can please everybody, except that maybe the Stroke button should become active when you right-click in the color bar, and the same with the Fill button when you left-click. But I can't say I'm certain it's how it should work. @VectorStyler Btw, the 'Color Palette' panel is more similar to the Color bar, so I think the same rule should apply (LMB assigns to Fill, RMB assigns to Stroke). Of course, if this option is enabled in Prefs.

@b77 said in Can the red dot in a vector object/group be used to align with?: @Boldline An alternative: If you select all the nodes of the M shape (Cmd-A when in Shape Editing mode), you can grab it by one of the nodes in the middle and snap it to the middle of the other shape. Yes that could work as a temporary solution - but you'd still have to be sure there was a node directly in the place you feel is centered

@Boldline said in Lock Artboard?: Is there a way to lock an artboard? No such option. In VS, artboards re just "guides" for printing and exporting. The layer hierarchy is of a canvas covers all artboards. One workaround is to have a separate layer (with sublayers maybe) for an artboard, and then lock that.

@PatrickM said in Mesh - how to...: Sorry, I don't understand quite well your reply. What I meant is that the difference between image 2 and 3 could be caused by a bug. Shouldn't a change made by the Appearance panel be independent of the selected tool Yes it is mostly, but in some cases it might affect how the tool is working. But not in this case.

@b77 said in Select Adjoining ?: Not sure how many users deal with CAD exports, but the huge lines count resulted from the exploded objects slows many apps down. I've seen files with tens of thousands of lines… a rejoin command would halve the file size and make working with the file easy again. Plus it makes it easy to select actual objects. Yes, I think you're absolutely right, I hadn't given that side of the issue any thought, but I have seen the same thing. Neil
