@Devil-Dinosaur said in Path Brush Tool preview:
Is there any settings or preference to change it ?
No such option for now. This would be a bit of a problem. Currently, the brush paint is approximated using a path (curves) in the same way as the freehand tool does.
Only after this step the variable widths are calculated (using the pressures).
But the path approximation can be done only after the whole paint has completed.
On the other hand, this allows the use of various stabilizer features (selectable from the context panel Stabilize field).
@Igull Thanks, absolutely a time saver, but would be great it could be as simpe as in Blender.
? - search for a command - RMB - FAV - DONE. Menu ready. No need for any fancy dialogs.
@VectorStyler Don't forget the main issue, where I scale the text UP and the whole paragraph is moving down, even if it's top could still fit the shape.
@Boldline Can be replicated here. The difficulty with this case is that offsetting open paths is still problematic.
One option would be to automatically close when creating the offset, if the two ends are overlapping. But that would mean a slightly different result than an open offset.
I added this to the backlog.
Would auto-closing be acceptable?
@Boldline It seems to be working here (could test on an Intel Macbook Pro for now), if I select parts or all the halftone vectors, duplicating works without slowing down.
If you have time to make a recording, I might be able to find the issue.
@Boldline said in Pros and Cons to using Shapes not paths for text on a path:
are there other pros and cons to using shapes instead of official paths for text on a path?
Not really, other than the "live" shape remains editable using its options.
What were the problems when scaling the circle?
@Boldline Check if this happens with other apps. When using Mac Mini M1 (first edition), I do get issues with the BT mouse, and this was reported as a known problem in those machines.
@Huangzhi said in Is there a Chinese interface and where to set it?:
I am a Chinese affinity designer user and want to switch to vectorstyler, but I can't find the Chinese settings
Sorry to say, but for now the only available UI language is English.
@Igull
your welcome
Nice to hear that is useful.
At some point, it has become a routine for me to search for web apps
when I need a certain function. It's amazing what can be done with it today.
...hopefully at some point VS will be able to do that...
You could put it as a feature request in the Ideas and Features section
in this forum
@b77 said in "Erase" like blend mode?:
It is easy to implement for two overlapping shapes, I'm sure. Not so sure if multiple overlapping shapes with different fill types and blend modes are involvedโฆ
Yes, I've been thinking the same thing.
@b77 It does also happen with Save & Open, thanks for reminding me. I've been exporting a lot past few days so I guess that was fresh in my mind when I wrote this.
I double checked, and it is set to Dark not Extra Dark.
@VectorStyler thank you very much! I appreciate it.
